Rivet rivet rivet. gosh, there are a ton of rivets in this thing. it's big too. I'm definitely getting the hang of flush riveting. Then it's on to the aft deck of the tailcone. It's kinda funny, but I don't really have much experience bucking universal head rivets. a little learning, and I'm starting to get it.

Then it's time to install nutplates into the bellcrank rib angle, and the rib angle to bellcrank ribs.

Now comes the time where you add some AN3 hardware, and of course I'm stumped about something...

I'm thinking hard about the "A" designation in AN3-5A. I don't know what it means, so i go to the computer, email the Matronics list, and have the answer in 10 minutes. The A means that the shank is not drilled for a safety wire hole. Good to know. So with everything bolted up, I go bopping into the spare bedroom, now dubbed the "Airplane Room" to get the top skins to finish riveting the thing and be done with it. To my chagrin, I've forgotten to prime the inside of the skins. dammit. Time to scuff the skins, prime, and hang it up for the night.
