Finally.  we’re gonna rivet the cabin top on.  I feel like we could wait and do more with it off, but I just kind of feel like we’re not getting anywhere, so we’re gonna put it on and damn the consequences!  the biggest bummer about this part is somehow attaching the overhead console to the bulkhead.  in the end, I made some angle and riveted it to the interior of the console at the back to make a flange that could be riveted to the bulkhead.  then i had to figure out how to put the air inlets on there too.  i just used the same flanges that you’d use for the heater system.  I had ordered the flanges earlier knowing that i’d need them.  it was a bit tricky to figure out where to cut the bulkhead, but Bethany’s the super awesome at making templates and stuff, so i just sort of point her in the direction of what i need, and let her loose.  somehow, i didn’t take a picture of the cutout after, just the drawing on the bulkhead.  i think once we got started riveting, we barely stopped.  a bit of proseal to seal out the elements, and we’re riveting!  i was able to park Bethany in the baggage area with a few bucking bars, and we tackled that pesky tailcone skin that’s been clecoed on for something like 2 years!  hooray!  We also had received the seats back from Classic Aero, and i did the install of the rear 60/40 split seats.  they’re beautiful!  i was a bit worried about how the install would go, but it was a real no-brainer.  I’m VERY VERY VERY pleased with the seat coverings.  they’re leather, with the one front panel in microfiber, so in the summer your legs don’t stick to the seats when you’re wearing shorts.  The front seats are equally as beautiful.  no pics of them here though...
